Joachim Zimmer has decades of experience in security, crisis management and the handling of exceptional threat situations.
During his 24-year career as a police officer he served, among other assignments, with Criminal Investigation Department 33 (KK 33), with the Precision Marksmen Unit (PSK) and spent more than 16 years with the Special Operations Command (SEK) He also spent more than eight years as an instructor for special operations units and contributed to national and international training programmes for specialist units.
His operational experience includes exceptional deployments involving serious and organised crime, existential threats, hostage situations, kidnappings and extortion, as well as close protection and targeted manhunt operations.
After leaving public service, Joachim Zimmer moved into the private security industry and international security consulting. For many years, he held senior leadership roles with responsibility for several hundred employees and complex security organisations.
His responsibilities included establishing a specialised investigations department, leading security services for major public institutions and, for around ten years, holding responsible roles in security management for major events at the Nürburgring.
Numerous international assignments and mandates in security, intelligence, protection and crisis response complement his operational and strategic experience.
Today, Joachim Zimmer brings this experience together as Founder and Managing Director of BIGFORCE CONSULTING and personally serves clients as their central point of contact.
